Spring is upon us, which means moms will be taking the children to the park a lot more.  My last post which featured the best 10 parks in Cincinnati for kids received a lot of great feedback.  One question, though, that keeps coming up – Where are the best playgrounds for toddlers in Cincinnati?

So, I’ve done my research and found these 9 playgrounds that are perfect for crawlers and toddlers.  Your kids can have a great time and you can relax, knowing they’re not going to be knocked around by the bigger kids.

1. PNC Grow Up Great Playground

If you’re looking for an all-inclusive playground in Cincinnati, Inwood Park has the largest in the city! This playground is located in Inwood Park, in the heart of Mt. Auburn.

Your children of all ages will enjoy this colorful park with plenty of activities to keep them busy for hours.

Check out this video which showcases the playground.

2. Gower Park Sharon Woods

This park is perfect for mixing nature and play into your trip.  The toddler playground has several choices for your little ones to enjoy.

Then, head over to the creek together, and explore!  It’s right next to the playground, making it an obvious next stop.

3. Highfield Discovery Garden

The 12-acre Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens is a delight for any age.

It is designed to encourage guests to explore the natural world in a fun, engaging environment. Along with the 25-foot Discovery Tree, there are seven smaller gardens to explore within Highfield Discovery Garden.

4. Land of Make-Believe

Located in Lunken Airport, you’ll love the Land of Make-Believe.  One of the best features is that it’s completely fenced in, so you can relax if you have little ones that like to run off.

They wouldn’t want to go anywhere anyway, because there’s plenty to do here, for bigger kids and for toddlers.

5. Symmes Township Park

This is probably my top pick of playgrounds for toddlers in Cincinnati.  Symmes Township Park offers a variety of activities including spinners, slides, ropes and bridges, and even a zip line.

The surface is green turf, so it stays cool and you don’t have to worry about your toddler tripping through mulch.

Address: 11605 Lebanon Rd., Loveland, Ohio 45140

6. Summit Park

Located in Blue Ash, Summit Park is the perfect place to spend an afternoon.  The playground is a colorful, exciting, and interactive play place for toddlers and children of all ages.

While you’re there, let the kids get a little dirty at the Children’s Nature Playscape.  They’ll get to play in some water, and experience the mud, sticks, and rocks, all created with children in mind.

Address: 4335 Glendale Milford Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242

7. West Fork Park

Probably one of the best playgrounds in Cincinnati, West Fork Park’s playground truly has it all.  Kids of all abilities and ages will have a great time here.

According to Cincinnati Magazine “West Fork Park is unlike any other playground in the city. It more than meets the accessibility guidelines put in place by playground experts, and it truly is a space for everyone. Each zone has been purposefully planned and the entire playground was specifically built to keep the attention of children for longer than 30 minutes—and to meet the needs of all children.”

This is a must-check out for you and your family!
