Museum Manager Michael Hurst said they try to change the exhibits every 10 months to keep the museum experience fresh. For this reason, it’s easy to visit the 21c Museum frequently and always see something new.

The tentative schedule for a new exhibit is October 2021.

Director of Sales and Marketing Jessica Tomain describes 21c’s restaurant as a chef-driven restaurant that is a farm to table operation. The Metropole partners with local farms to introduce the fresh produce and ingredients that make up the menu.
Executive Chef Vanessa Miller came onto the scene last August.
She puts her modern take on French and Italian cooking, and ensures only the best is served by creating homemade pasta. The new Spring menu is available now, which features three pasta dishes.

Museum Director and Chief Curator Alice Gray Stites writes, “Bedecked and bejeweled, the figures populating Dress Up, Speak Up occupy fluid space and time, evoking past and present, fact and fiction, memory and desire, to illuminate the complexity of contemporary identity.”
Throughout the museum, you’ll find several different works by different artists that populate this exhibit.
“Whether clad in the stylized garb of Enlightenment-era Europe, the traditional coverings of ancient religious tradition, or the gender-bending bling of popular culture, these representations of self and other role-play in real time, reach back through history to address prevailing personal, social, and political changes,” writes Stites.
Michael Hurst states that all exhibits are curated based on a specific theme that deals with what’s going on today.

The artwork is selected from the founders’,Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson’s, huge collection of 21st century art.
According to Hurst, their collection just keeps growing. They always have new artwork to show.
Even if you see Dress Up, Speak Up at a different location once it moves from Cincinnati, it won’t be the exact same exhibit.
Hurst said that only about 30 percent of the current exhibition will continue to be displayed with pieces being pulled and added as exhibitions move.
